Peter Thomas is married to Vanita, and has three children, Sandeep (married to Shirley), Sneha Ruth and Sarah Rachna. He has completed a doctorate in Theoretical Physics in TIFR, India, and currently resides in Redmond, Washington as an Enterprise Architect. Looking back at the many ups and downs of life, Peter can clearly trace the faithful, gracious, and relentlessly loving hand of God, leading and guiding him and his family. Having experienced the thrill of knowing God first hand, Peter enjoys teaching and sharing this amazing experience with others. He and Vanita also love reminding people that adoption is very close to the heart of God because it is a powerful reflection of how God Himself brings all who put their trust in Jesus into His own family. As the Bible says: “to all who received Him, who believed in his Name, He gave the right to become children of God” (John 1:12). What magnificent love this is!
Vanita Thomas is the privileged, beloved, adopted daughter of the God of the universe who has been chosen to inherit the riches of His glory one day! She is Peter’s wife, mother of Sandeep, Sneha Ruth and Sarah Rachna and the mother-in-love of Shirley. She is an Engineer and Business Information Specialist who chose to step out of her career in order to dedicate her life to the far harder task of loving and caring for her beloved children when they began their adoption journey in 1998. God’s call on her life to be an adoptive mom has been amazingly beautiful but has also been an extremely hard marathon. She has the added privilege to be mom to a biological daughter who is her baby girl as well as to her daughter-in-love. She knows that she stands only by the grace of God, and desires that others experience it as well! “To endure the cross is not tragedy; suffering is the fruit of an exclusive allegiance to Jesus Christ.” – Dietrich Bonhoeffer
Vasantha Wilfred is Vanita’s mom. She came to Lord Jesus at age 12 and has walked with Him ever since, experiencing His tender love and faithfulness in all the ups and downs of her life. She is a retired Associate Professor with a doctorate in Mathematics and has taught in colleges in Bangalore, India, and St. Louis, MO, USA for many years. God has graciously given her a ministry to serve Him as an Online Missionary sending His light to the far corners of the dark world and as a mentoring and prayer partner. She currently lives in Redmond, WA, with her husband, Ernest.
